Home‐Start Norwich is a charity committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under 5 years of age. We recruit parent volunteers able to offer friendship & support to families for 2 ‐ 3 hours a week, in the families own home.

Families with young children often struggle to cope through the early years, your experience could really help other parents build better lives for their children.

We train our volunteers before being matched with a family and provide excellent support throughout. It's a great opportunity to use your valuable parenting skills, gain some useful training, and make new friends.

Courses run for a day each week, for 9 weeks, excluding school holidays. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Our next training course starts on Wednesday 4th May and runs each Wednesday until 6th July. To find out more please contact 01603 616400 or see our website for more information.

Ride for the Sporting Light Appeal!

Each year, the Sporting Light Appeal hops on the saddle for the Norwich Cycle Swarm, supported by British Cycling and Cycles UK.

Organised by Cycle Swarm, last year over 500 riders took to the North Norfolk countryside on Monday 5th May, raising valuable funds for the Sporting Light Appeal.

Starting at Carrow Road, the route takes in some of Norfolk’s most scenic countryside and picturesque villages, along quiet country roads – with the longer routes heading out onto the coast – before looping back to Norwich for the grand finish.

Open across all ages and abilities and with three different routes to choose from (35 miles, 70 miles & 100 miles) there is a ride for everybody.

For every pedal you push and mile you ride, your money will help thousands of disadvantaged and disabled people across Norfolk get active and into sport.

This year, you can cycle for FREE if you can raise £50 for the Community Sports Foundation. Please contact for further information or see the website below.
