VICAR OF DIBLEY

Thorpe Players will be performing the classic TV comedy ‘The Vicar of Dibley’ on 26th, 27th and 28th May.

The stage performance has been adapted from the TV show and features all the favourite characters including Alice, Hugo, Owen, Jim, David and of course Geraldine.

It’s at the Roxley Hall on Yarmouth Road in Thorpe. Doors open at 7pm each night with the performance will start at 7.30. There’ll be a licensed bar and it’s supporting Comic Relief.

It will also encourage the public to contact Crimestoppers, if they don't wish to go to the police, to report any information they may know regarding those involved in these Theft of Pedal Cycles (TOPC) crimes or those that maybe handling stolen bicycles.

CHARITY PLANT SALE
There’s a charity plant sale taking place at 85 Furze Road in Thorpe St Andrew on Saturday 5th and Tuesday 7th June.
There will be a wide range of locally grown plants on sale which has become well known locally over the years for the amazing variety of tomatoes and peppers of all colours, shapes and sizes.
It’s raising money for The Norfolk Renal Fund and Macmillan Nurses at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital.

NELSON’S JOURNEY PURPLE PICNIC WEEK

From 13th – 19th June Nelson’s Journey is promoting a Purple Picnic Week to raise funds to enable them to support more children. The idea of this week is to engage with local communities including schools, individuals & workplaces across Norfolk, asking them to hold their own Purple Picnic in memory of someone special that has died and fundraise in aid of Nelson's Journey.

The money raised at these Picnics can then be used to support children and young people in Norfolk who access their support following a bereavement of a significant person in their life.

Nelson's Journey will be holding their very own Purple Picnic on Saturday 18th June 2016 between 12pm - 4pm at the Octagon Barn, (Octagon Business Park, Hospital Road, Little Plumstead, Norwich, NR13 5FH) The event will include live music, food from The Feed and lots of activities for all the family including a circus workshop and a chance to remember your special person.

MASQUERADE CHARITY BALL

Heydon Hall and Village Open Gardens Day provides a wonderful opportunity to explore the gardens of Heydon Hall - which are rarely open to the public - plus gardens of picturesque Heydon village.

We invite you to visit one of the prettiest villages in Norfolk and take a stroll through the gardens of Heydon Hall, The Grange, The Old Rectory, The Old Cottage, Poppyland and others.

There will also be a display by North Norfolk Classic Vehicle Club, entertainment by Holt Ridge Morris dancers, a plant and produce stall, plus refreshments on the village green.

Heydon is one of less than a dozen privately owned villages in Great Britain and became Norfolk's first conservation area in 1971. Heydon is also currently home to six County Wildlife Sites. Heydon has won Best Kept Village on two occasions and has been the setting of numerous film and TV productions.

All proceeds from Heydon Hall and Village Open Gardens Day will go to the PCC Heydon (Parish) to help fund the restoration of the historic organ in St Peter & St Paul church.
