Indecent assault in Norwich


A teenage girl's been indecently assaulted in broad daylight here in the city.

The 17 year old was sitting on a bench in Tombland last Tuesday around 2 in the afternoon.

A man then made inappropriate comments to her and then grabbed her.

More jobs could be created in the city thanks to M&S


150 new jobs could be created if M&S explands here in Norwich.

The company wants to make the one bigger on Rampant Horse Street which would include a new electrical department and take away food area.

The plans are being looked at by the City Council on Thursday.

Your kids could be a budding ballet star

Your kids can take part in a Ballet X Factor here in the county.

100 young dancers are needed for a new production at the Norwich Theatre Royal.

Sleeping Beauty takes to the stage in July and 8-18 year olds can audition at the Open Accademy this wednesday.


They will run in two parts and will be open for 8-11 year olds from 4.30pm. Older children can then compete for a part with auditions for 12-18 year olds starting at 6.45pm.

Terminally ill Norfolk people are missing out on thousands


1.7 million pounds is missing from the pockets of people in our area.

Apparently that's amount of disability benefits going unclaimed by people with terminal cancer in Norfolk.

MacMillan Cancer Support says 4 out of 10 terminally ill cancer patients here aren't getting the allowances they're entitled to.

Some recycling centres to go part time

You won't be able to get rid of some of your rubbish as often as you could.

Five household waste recycling centres including Bergh Apton and Wymondham will be part-time from next month.

They'll be closed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from april the 20th to help make the service more efficient.

Wymondham expansion plans on show

It's the chance for you to see plans for thousands of new homes in Wymondham.

A development of 3,000 homes is being put forward.

Those behind it say it'll create 2 and a half thousand jobs plus a new 6th form college will be built.

You can look at the plans at the Fairland Church Centre between 4.30-8pm on Friday and 10-4pm on Saturday.

Norwich came from behind again to get a win on Saturday.

They beat Huddersfield 3-1 with Stephen Elliot scoring 2 and Grant Holt getting the other goal.

Leeds, Colchester and Charlton all lost which mean the Canaries are now 7 points clear at the top of the table.

A boost for rural students


Teenagers in Norfolk who find it hard to get to their classes are getting a cash boost.

The government's given our county council more cash to help with transport costs for those doing the 14 to 19 diplomas.

Over 1000 Norfolk students are taking the new qualification.

The money means we'll have a special transport co-ordinator and the cash availale per pupil will rise to £200.

Perry Mann's doing it to raise cash for Lucies Lifesaving Project, which is aiming to get more defibrillators in public places.

Pete Docherty banned from driving



Pete Doherty's been given a 12-month driving ban and fined 500 pounds after admitting he allowed his manager to use his car without insurance in Suffolk.

He didn't turn up to Lowestoft Magistrates, but his lawyer entered a guilty plea on his behalf.

Last month, the singer's manager was given a 12-month jail term after he ran into a pedestrian and then sped off.

We're being advised to check our wallets after a string of counterfeit notes have been found around the city.

The dodgy £20 notes look normal but show up as fakes under ultra violet scanners.

Any shops who handle the cash are being urged to be extra careful.

Councils call for cash to fix potholes

You'll probably go over some potholes today while driving into work or doing the school run.

After the worst winter in 30 years roads across the county's roads are full of them.

Councils across the country are asking the Government for 100 million pounds to help patch up our roads.
